After some time in the saddle do your hamstrings and hips feel tight? Learn some yoga poses to alleviate those tight muscles. Open the calves, hamstrings, quadriceps and hips. Leaning forward over your mountain or road bike can create sore back muscles. Combine your cycling with poses to make space in the spine and shoulders. Martha Evers Bio:
Martha Evers has taught Iyengar yoga in Durango over the last 25 years. After teaching for 5 years in Maui at the Maui Yoga Path and the Maui Yoga Shala she recently returned back to Durango and the mountains and her classes are at the 4 Corners Yoga Studio. She has studied several times over the years with the Iyengar family in Pune, India. Martha’s classes are very personalized and students receive individualized instruction addressing their specific needs. She welcomes students of all abilities spreading her enthusiasm of the practice. Martha is grateful for the gifts this beautiful area around Durango provides and enjoys experiencing its grandeur on the seat of her bike.
