Cyclocross Practice: Wed, Thur @ Noon, Wed 4pm

Cross Practice Update:

Wednesday evening practice time has moved to 4pm at the softball complex to allow some daylight to finish the practices. The Wednesday 12noon and Thursday 12noon practices will continue to be, although Thursday there may be some FLC Soccer games that could be going on that could shorten the course to exclude the stadium area. As always, please be courteous with other FLC team practicing at the same times as ours and stay away from their practices – they’ll be all done soon.

FYI – the Series Finals race may be moved to Saturday Dec. 17 from Sunday Dec. 18 to allow the Musclecross to happen on that Sunday – stay tuned.

Road, MTB, Cross and Reggae! Looks like a great weekend of serious fun!
WHAT: Four Corners Bike Fest!
WHEN: Saturday and Sunday September 24th and 25th.
WHERE: Pagosa Springs, CO
DESCRIPTION: Wolf Creek Pass Ride & Reggae, Stanley’s Fat Tire Race and our San Juan Physco-Cross CylcoCross race combine to create two days of two wheels!

Come join us for two days of bikes, music, beer and festivities! An epic event to benefit an epic cause. Serious events like the Stanley’s Fat tire Cross Country Race up down and around Reservoir Hill and the private Reservoir River Ranch. And, the Wolf Creek Pass “We aint Race’n ride featuring a “double” crossing of the infamous 10,857′ Wolf Creek Pass! We also have the epic season opener CycloCross race with the wet at twisty San Juan Physco-Cross!

For the not so serious, super fun events like our Short-n-Shady “slow” race and Huffy-Huck-it “Bike Toss”. All to test your skills and your ability to laugh and be laughed at! Non stop events, food, beer, music and all things bike. After the events on Saturday get off your bike and enjoy reggae music by local Durango band Cosmic Accident and Reggae Legend Pato Banton while sipping a cold on from Breckenridge Brewery and the Pagosa Brewing Company! Right downtown in Pagosa Springs.

CX Double Header: MuscleCross & FLCCX Series Finale!

This Saturday, Dec. 5, with much preliminary hoopla, is the 4th annual Russell the MuscleCross at Buckley Park. Racing action begins at 10am with the Singlespeeders followed by the kids race at 11am. The competitive Men’s A and 40+ goes off at 11:30 with the Men’s B and Open Women classes rolling at 12:30pm. Russ the Musc is the 5th race in the FLC Cyclocross Series presented by Animas Orthopedics, Coca-Cola and Rivergate Sports Medicine, and has many unique course features for the racers to navigate – everyone is welcome.

The series concludes Sunday Dec. 6 up at the FLC Stadium with the Series Finals – racing begins at 10am.

The awards ceremony for the FLCCX Series (originally scheduled for Sunday) will be at the Irish Embassy Pub, Monday Dec. 7th at 6pm!
