If you know of someone coming to Durango for the IHBC from the north via US 550 please pass along this info!
Where: US 550 Northbound / Southbound From the Top of Red Mountain Pass to North of Ouray (Milemarker 87-92)
When: US 550 will be closed on Red Mountain Pass MO-SA 8:30a-12:30p and 1:30p to 6:30p for rockfall mitigation. All other times traffic will be in a single-lane alternating traffic operation controlled by a traffic signal. Closures expected to continue through May!
Detour route is CO 62 to CO 145 then to US 160 from Ouray and reversed coming from Durango (88 mile detour).
