I have attached the map for tomorrow’s CX race. Reg opens at 9:30 with Men 3/4/5, Open Women, Collegiate Women, Men 50+ at 11am and Open Men, Collegiate Men, Men 35+ at 12noon. Looks like it is going to start raining right about the time we start racing tomorrow – woohoo! (DH)

This weekend is at FLC and is also the Rocky Mountain Collegiate Cycling Conference CX Championships so we’ll see some kids from CMU and maybe other schools. It is again a USA Cycling race this weekend so you’ll need a license and if you don’t have one then it’ll cost you $15 for a one-day. Also there’ll be an additional $3 charge if you don’t have a BRAC license.
11am – Cat 3/4/5 Men, Open Women, 50+ Men
12noon – Open Men, 35+ Men

Hey All – That was some darn good racing at the Parelli Ranch in Pagosa last weekend – there is some incredible terrain to be had. I have attached the series points so far after race #4.** I have attached a map of the practice course for the week – same as last week but going no further than the scoreboard.
Don’t forget about the Community Cycling Celebration this Wednesday 5:30-8:30pm – all are invited.
The 5th race in the Durango Performance Center 4 Corners CX Series is this Saturday in Cortez. It is once again a USA Cycling race so you will need a USAC annual license or 1 day ($15). I do believe you can now go renew and or purchase an annual license for 2015 and it is good for the rest of 2014 – go to usacycling.org.
For races #5 and #6 in the series a Bicycle Racing Association of Colorado (BRAC) annual or 1 day ($3) license will also be required. I know most of you don’t have a BRAC license but a couple years ago the ACA was brought into the USAC fold and now for all races in Colorado that are USAC permitted riders must also have a BRAC license. Sorry, this is going to cost most you $3 more on entry fees. Here is a breakdown of what the next two races are going to cost with varying licenses:
USAC and BRAC Annual – $25
USAC no BRAC – $28
USAC and BRAC 1 day – $40 (If you buy a USAC one-day it also covers the BRAC one day)
Start times for Cortez CX 12/6/14
11am – Cat3/4/5 Men, Open Women, 50+ Men
12noon – Open Men, 35+ Men
The races are once again at Parque da Vida so the same great features and slow grass can be expected and we’ll find something new too. Registration opens at 9:30am. Park at the Cortez Recreation Center – 425 Roger Smith Ave, Cortez, CO 81321 Turn north off of HWY 160 (main St.) at Taco Bell and continue north to rec center.
