The annual FLC Cycling home race, the Squawker Road Classic is scheduled for April 23-24, 2016 with a Time Trail, Criterium and Road Race. In addition to collegiate categories there will be USA Cycling Categories for community and regional folks.
We have added another 12K to the La Posta Time Trail with a turnaround near Bondad and a finish just before CR214 (Weaselskin Bridge) for a total of 32K (19 miles). The Criterium is back in the 4th Ave/9th St neighborhood for 2016 and we have added another block for a 1.2K (.75 mile) long course with the taxing 6th Ave. hill once per lap. The only thing we haven’t changed is the 8K (5 mile) Road Race course with the college front hill once per lap.
New this year is online registration through USA Cycling! You’ll need to have a USA Cycling account and license to register online (one-day licenses available online). This is strongly encouraged to avoid a $5 race day late fee.
