Here is a great opportunity to help out Neil Hannum; longtime DWC member and advocate for cycling in Durango. Please help out by doing the Enduro, volunteering, or contributing $. All race entries and donations will go directly to Neil!
From Dave Hagen:
This Wednesday is the Star Wars Enduro and all entry fees will be donated to benefit the Chip Peddler (details of his accident are below)… Fun race for a great cause… Must I say more? Come join the fun. Would love to see as many people show up to race or spectate as possible. See below for details and spread the word like wildfire…. I’m planning a later start than normal to avoid some of the heat.

Star Wars Enduro race entries on Wednesday June 29th go to benefit Neil Hannum, the one and only Chip Peddler!
Come Join us in supporting longtime Durango Resident and supporter of Durango DEVO, Flc cycling and the SKA ZIA team Neil Hannum, the Chip Peddler!
On Sunday, June 26th, Neil was struck by a car on 550 and has sustained traumatic injuries. He was flown to St. Anthony’s Hospital in Denver. Please come out to support his fund by racing or just riding the SKA ZIA Star Wars Enduro on Wednesday, June 29th.
Entry fee is $10, but of course you could give more! Neil is not only a great community supporter, but an advocate for bicycling in our community! Let’s come together and support those who support us!
The race is an enduro format- racers have a neutral (untimed) climb up Hidden Valley to the start. Riders go off in 30 second intervals, racing down to the bottom of Star Wars. After completing their first run they will ride back around for a second run of the same course. Results based on the best time out of the two.
Location: Leyden Trailhead
Races: Racing will begin at 6:30. Choose to race in either the A or B categories. Start order is determined on first come, first serve basis at the start.
